What does integrity really look like when no one is watching?
Integrity is more than saying the right things. It is about being honest, having strong moral principles, and being whole and undivided. It means our words, actions, promises, and faith all line up.
In this message, we look at Psalm 15 and ask a simple but serious question: Do I keep my word?
How often do we say, “I’ll call you,” “I’ll help you,” “I’ll take care of it,” or “I’ll be there,” and then never follow through? Sometimes we make excuses. Sometimes we forget. Sometimes we simply do not make it a priority. But every time our words and actions do not match, trust is weakened.
And for believers, it can affect more than just our relationships. It can affect our witness for Jesus Christ.
People are watching how we live. They notice whether we follow through. They notice whether we speak truth. They notice whether our faith is something we talk about or something we actually live out.
Psalm 15 describes the person who walks blamelessly, does what is right, speaks truth from the heart, and keeps an oath even when it hurts.
That is integrity.
Not perfection.
Not having all the right words.
But being a person whose life can be trusted.
So today, ask yourself:
Do people believe me when I say I am going to do something?
Do my actions match my words?
Am I building trust or slowly tearing it down?
Does my life reflect the Jesus I tell others about?
Excuses may explain why we did not follow through, but excuses cannot replace integrity.
Be a person who keeps your word.
Be honest.
Be dependable.
Be whole and undivided.
Live in a way that honors God.
